Podgorica & Montenegro Beer Map

In Montenegro, the pace of life moves slow. Whether you hiking in the mountains of Durmitor, or laying on the beach in Bar (yes, the city is called Bar,) this is a country that encourages you to stop and slow down. What better place to sip a fresh craft beer while taking in the scenery?

Yet Montenegro’s craft beer scene is still very young. Outside of the quiet capital, Podgorica, craft beer is hard to find. So if you fly into Podgorica, it’s best to spend at least two days here to visit the breweries and bars, and collect some beers for your further travels around the country.

Cities along the coastline, like Budva and Bar, have some bars specializing in craft beer. And the two large craft breweries, Mammut and Akademija, are in several restaurants as well. Although hard to find, it’s rewarding to say you’ve had a beer from Montenegro, the Black Mountain land.
