Ljubljana Beer Map

Ljubljana is Europe’s little big city. You can easily get around by foot, bus or – the most popular way – bicycle. In one weekend you can visit all of Ljubljana’s craft beer bars and eat at their excellent brewpub, Lajbah. A walk down Trubarjeva Street shows you Ljubljana’s funky alternative culture, where international restaurants and cafes invite you. After that, have a late night in the music clubs located inside Metalkova Complex.

Outside the city center, you can visit many craft breweries in the Ljubljana area. Some are open for tours and have their own taprooms to try their latest beers. A quick bus ride will get you to places like Pivovarna Rooster and LOO-BLAH-NAH Brewery.

Slovenia’s little size is to its advantage. While you stay in Ljubljana, you can easily arrange day trips around the country and return home in the evening. In Celje, there is a “beer fountain,” where you can tap several beers from a public city fountain. Or go to Nova Gorica, on the Italian border, home to the internationally-renowned Reservoir Dogs brewery. Look for big beer surprises in this little country.
